Since we did not learn from our mistakes in Vietnam, in part because GWB was awol during Vietnam, I would say that Iraq is a far bigger blunder. I think we've killed more Iraqi civilians by now than Vietnamese civilians, but I don't know for certain.
I am a decorated, disabled veteran who advises all young people to stay away from our military right now. Democrats and Republicans alike are abusing the selfless service of our troops. American military members are dying to meet political ends not to protect our nation. Don't let millionaire power-mongers like Bush and Clinton waste your life so they and their friends can line their pockets with more cash.
If you want to serve your country, join your local police force.

vietnam wasn´t an error.......
think about it... who won.... the commies or the yankies....
tha´s right.... vietnam couldn´t have gone any other way.... i mean, who knows what would/wouldn´t have happen otherwise....
things could be a lot worse if vietnam didn´t go exactly how it did.... what if ussr would´ve taken over.... what if there was a nuclear war..... or what if their were world peace... what if it was us (usa) that collapsed, and broke up into different countries....
there are a lot of contingencies you have to think of.... it would not be the world it is today if the vietnam war never happen. there are a million "if´s" and 1 true fact... that the world that we live in today wouldn´t exsist if vietnam didn´t happen....
and the happier world of tomorrow will be made possible by our brothers and sisters fighting the crazy islamist that want to kill us....

the biggest foreign policy blunder?
Most definitely, borrowing money from the enemy!
Americans on paper are owned by foreingners.
America's national debt is not funded by Americans, they are funded by foreign policy. In some cases, the "enemy" has an invested interest in the American economy. From a Global standpoint, America is like a "tool" to make money.
Make War, use weapons, spend money, rebuild destroyed country, invest and borrow more money, build more weapons. Cylce keeps going and going until foreigners cannot buy more Amercian bonds.

Vietnam only because the Johnson administration tried to run a politically correct war. The results were inevitable.

Vietnam has more loss of life, both Americans and Vietnamese.
I guess you could call that worse, but I don't really want to compare the two.
One soldier killed is one too many if it's not for a just cause.

Vietnam, We already knew what the North was capable of when they beat the French, militarily we should not have got involved, but diplomatically and finacially we needed to support the South.
