And what is your definition of "true" religion? I believe in God with all my heart! But sometimes I think its very easy to be mislead by others who claim to have authority. I have been a victim of false accusations and once a man claimed that I was demon possesed!!! So, I said "Okay!" mabe hes right! Mabe I am possesed by an evil spirit. It turns out however, that it was not the case! I had alot of emotional problems because of everthing that I went through in the past. But to this day; this man has not appologized or even tried to talk to me about what happened. He can't even look me in the eye! They say that Christians are human like everyone else. The problem is: We are to be able to conquer our human nature through the power of God. I'm so sick of the "Human Nature" excuse. As if a Christian could commit murder and everything is just fine and dandy because he is "HUMAN" Hey! We all make mistakes right? Let me go kill someone I hate! I can always repent later! Its rediculous!

A true man of God is one who loves God with all his heart after all Jesus said that it was the first and greatest commandment.
When it comes to christians and the "Human Nature" i would agree with you... Us as christians can't use that as a excuse to do bad things. We have to strive for perfection and admit when we are wrong and ask for forgiviness of those we wrong... that's one of the things that sets us apart.
Love sets us apart. (not saying that others are incapable to love) We are also to love everyone else how we love ourselves. Unconditionally. Even our enemies.

Sorry about your problem and i assure you not all christians are that way. Although we all do fall and make mistakes... we must admit ask for forgiviness and rise to another challenge.

A true man or woman of God "studies" to show themselves approved to be well pleasing to God. A true Man of God is also one the is "disciplined" in the Word. That's where the word "disciple" comes from.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

A true man or woman pleases God and doesn't care what men say. They aren't men pleasers.

I have no definition of "true religion" but James does. It is to visit the widows and orphans in their affliction. A man of God will suffer no doubt as he serves Jesus who also suffered. Jesus said "In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
About the man who accused you, as you know we forgive our tormenters and look to God.
I don't believe we can conquer human nature because man's nature tends to do evil continually. We DIE to self and let Christ live in us and through us. This is the gospel..we live through the life of Another.
It is all about you and JESUS and your obedience to him no matter what others do. Look only to HIM.
