It took Christians 1400 years to realize that killing, torture and forced conversions are wrong, how much longer do we have to wait before they understand tolerance completely?

And do we have to wait as long years for Muslims to get the message?

"Tolerance" is not enough. Tolerate may be the next step, but it's still a long way from respect. In order to respect others, we must understand their culture and history. But somehow, we can't even bring ourselves to tolerate long enough to truly understand each other's culture.

Killing, torture and forced conversions are wrong.
Using God's name in vain is also wrong.
And so is Tolerance.

What is right is right, what is wrong is wrong. To be tolerant of murders is an oxymoron.

Christians will always stand up for injustice and righteousness. Christians stopped killing, torture and forced conversions because that is not "Christ-like."

If people have done wrong, may God condemn those who are church-goers and convenient chrisitans who have abused the name of god for their gain.

As I have said before- you, among many, confuse Catholicism and the Church of England with Christianity. The murder, torture and forced conversions you speak of have nothing to do with Christianity. The Catholics and Anglicans did do these things at one time-but it was the controlling "State Church and the Church State" that committed these atrocities and not Christians. Islamic zealots do the same. Islam will have to go through a reformation to put a stop to it,

Some parts of Islam appear to be in the Dark Ages. Hopefully they will reach a level of moderation more quickly than it took Christians.

Well. I would agree with you on your first part if they hadn't started doing the exact same thing in the name of democracy.

It will never end.

reread history, without the secular twist and you may be surprised at what you find out. but dont count on muslims grasping anything peaceful anytime in the future.

Let's hope not too long. There has been some progress. The Episcopal church has made wonderful advancements.
