"And surely in the cattle, there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of what is inside their bodies, from between digested food and blood, pure milk, pleasant to those who drink it (Koran 16:6)."
It should be kept in mind that a Muslim scientist formally discovered the circulation of blood 600 years after Muhammed's death and it was made known to the west by William Harvey, 1000 years after Muhammed had died. If Muhammed was the author of the Koran how would he have known, at the time that he lived that digested food is transported via blood and then becomes the constituent of milk secreted by the mammary glands?

"Have we not expanded the earth and made the mountains as tent pegs" (Koran 78:6-7)
" We have cast into the earth anchors lest it shake with you" (Koran 31:10)
The Koran states that mountains have a root extending down into the earth like "anchors" and this gives stability and balance to the earth.
This fact was only discovered 150 years ago by scientists.

Thank you for putting this out here for these ignorant fools but the sad truth is that they like to insult and they find joy in ridiculing islam so not a single non-muslim will believe this..

Bless you :)

The first statement mentioning surah 21:30 is not refering to the big bang. The sentence makes it clear that the fact "that the heaven and earth were a unit joined" should be something obviously known by all people. If it is refering to the big bang it would be like a doctor saying "Do not the [non-doctors] see that he has a malignant tumor in his large intestine." I do not agree that God would expect all (any) people of that time period to be familar with the big bang theory of the universe unless they had his perspective, just as a doctor would not expect you to know that your friend had a tumor in his intestine. In my Koran surah 36:39 reads "And the moon, We have measured for it mansions ( to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. " Then surah 36:40 goes onto say "It is not for the the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit." The latter surah suggests that the sun orbits the earth, which is not susprising beings to think otherwise was considered heresy within all three Judiac religions until Copernicus formulated the modern heliocnetric theory of the solar-system in the sixteenth century. As for your interpatation of that surah, it is even vaguer than the one in my Koran and has no scientific value alone. When I was a kid my mom, when I asked where the sun went for the night, told me that the sun went "home" to get some sleep and that the moon came out to watch over me. Does that mean God spoke to my mom becuase she noticed that the sun and moon were out at different times? Well I know the ancient greeks and persians had just as wacky ideas before Muhammeds time and some of them turned out to be true. It is possible that Muhammed had access to these ancient works. As alot of the Korans physiological and medical information seems to parallel Galen and Hippocrates and his astrology Aristitotle and other greek scholars of antiquity.

Well thank you for pointing these facts out. The Quran also states we came from water and the earth was made from gases. Plenty of scientific facts that Muhammad (PBUH) could not possibly of known. As Muslims we all know about the science in the Quran not to mention about conception etc and non believers are always stating we are believing in a book which is a fairy tale. Does not sound much like fairy stories to me. Does it to you?

Well done nice question.

Okay, I have thought. By the law of averages, holy books will contain some things which are right. I don't see how this means that I can forget about the overwhelming amount of text that is wrong.

This is very true. It really goes back to how the Quran says that the Quran is an infallible truth. You can't deny these facts. Although some people have tried.

It is all backwards justification.

If you could convince me by the life and example that Muhammad lived that he was truly a prophet and justify his wives and marriage to a child, I would become a Muslim.

Short of that, no "Scientific" hocus pocus will sway me.

Peace and God Bless!
