All religions of the Eastern Mediterranean had a female figure as well as the male man-god figure. Mary just fills that ready-made necessary role.
Before Mary there was Cybele and Isis and others.
Mary was left out of the Trinity because the Trinity was not invented until long after Christianity was established. There was a conflict between Arius and Athanasius over this, and Athanasius won so Arius was kicked out and the Trinity doctrine became orthodoxy. The Arians became the Unitarians.
Mary is Queen of Heaven, a title originally held by Isis. Some Roman Catholics say Mary is co-redeemer with Jesus, so she is kind of half way to being God.
Trying to make sense out of the Bible does not work if you treat it as a literal record of facts. It is "midrash," a Hebrew word meaning the re-telling of old stories. No need to try to make sense of the details about Mary. Just enjoy the story as poetry and drama.

Mary was the mother of Jesus. Jesus is God in the flesh, a member of the trinity of God. She was the earthly mother of the Son of God when He came to the earth in the flesh.
Mary must have been a very precious person to have been chosen by God to be the mother of His Son. She was only a human. Not a god.

Mary was a normal human being. God, who can do anything, decided to become a human being, in order to die for the sins of all human beings -- that is to pay their death penalty.
No one can really explain the trinity because we are not as smart as God. But Mary is not part of the trinity. Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit are the trinity. Son of God is a spiritual term not a physical term.
The Catholic church teaches that Mary ascended to heaven and did not die. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach that.

Mary was the handmaiden of the Lord. She was the most blessed woman to ever walk the face of the earth. She is not God, even though she was the mother of Jesus. She was a servant of God, specially chosen by Him to raise His only Son. Jesus made sure that it wasn't God's will that Mary be worshiped as a god when He said in Matthew 12:46-50, that whoever does the will of God, the same is His mother, sister, and brother. Also, when He was dying on the Cross, He told His friend and disciple, John, (I'm paraphrasing) "John, here is your mother (speaking of Mary)" and He told Mary, "Here is your son", speaking of John. Also, we don't hear of Jesus ever calling Mary, "Mother", but we do hear Him calling her, "Woman". He knew that there would be those who worshiped her. But, He tried to let people know that she was a woman who was a servant of God. She was not the mother of God, she was the mother of the man, Jesus. Peace.

Mary was human...chosen by God because of her purity and faith. Jesus was to be born of a woman...a human woman...so he could experience human emotions, pain and temptation. The life of Christ and the parables meant to show us how easy it is to follow God's will were made all the more powerful because he was man...and God. Mary was without sin, strong and loving...the perfect mother and wife...a role model for all.

To start with she was a human. Also, she was a virgin, that's how Jesus was born sinless. A virgin mother and God for a Father. And that's what God wanted. Jesus was a second Adam. The first Adam messed up and let Eve sin, so through a VIRGIN, Jesus was made. hope you can understand that. Blessed be Always -

God needed a human to bare a human (Jesus) so Mary was one of us.
The concept of the trinity (father, son, and holy spirit) is that they are all one and the same.
Cheeky stuff.

Mary was HUMAN, ALL HUMAN and NOTHING BUT A HUMAN. She was 'extremely faithful' and was 'chosen by God' to 'bear Jesus' and was 'impregnated' MIRACULOUSLY when she was still a 'virgin' ... and she was 'taken to Heaven' when she was 'still alive' and not 'dead' the way most people are, because God LOVED HER for her 'sacrifice' (of her virginity and her life) that she 'gave to the world' in Jesus Christ. She's NOT NOW and NEVER WAS a 'God' ... but she is 'very special and very holy' and to be admired by 'all' who believe in Jesus Christ as part of the 'Trinity' ... Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Mary was a human being, a mortal. She concieved and bare the Son of God. How that was actually and technically accomplished I do not know. I just know that it happened.

Mary was 100 % human. 0% god.
Church tradition says her mother's name was Anne.
Luke says her father's name was Joseph. (not to be confused by her husband, Joseph.)
There is nothing impossible with God.
The Holy Spirit came over Mary according to scriptures, and also in fulfillment of them, that a "virgin would conceive" and that would be a sign the Messiah would be born.
