The room is now decorated with dark wood, chinese red paintings of peonies and lilies (which I don't want to change) and a carmel-colored suede comforter. I'd like to chage the comforter to something more light-weight and springy looking, but I don't know what I can put with the dark wood and the red paintings to achieve something that stays true to the character of the room but doesn't look so fall/winter-y. What would you suggest?

I'm thinkiing gold or pearl metallics that stay in the "character" of an Asian theme.

something like these:

Maybe hand a kimono on the wall? Use a bamboo rod as the hanger...

i imagine you want a filled owl in a cage, and some type of floating candles..perhaps the battery operated ones putting on fish line or some thing. The broomstick is genuinely mandatory and doubtless a basket or a demonstrate of wands ( in basic terms sticks from the timber- yet sturdy ones). the style colors for bedding should be cool, like griffindor's is scarlet and gold. A sorting hat? And a useful bookshelf to placed each and each of the books. desire this gave you some recommendations.

Something with a light background and a delicate floral print sounds right. Here's a website that features a good selection of Asian and floral patterns:

I'd use a white background (better for the black cat to shed on, at my house) and a multi-colored floral, with red basenotes, lots of red flowers, maybe.

I think a comforter in the pink family and then put cherry tree blossoms in a red vase and put that on night stand.

Pale greens and some light, but not very pale, pink with cream colors may work.
