ASK YOUR VET. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THE CAT HAS RABIES ? HAVE YOU GOT HER/HIM FOR A LONG TIME? HOW DID YOU GET HER/HIM ? WAS THE PET EVER INOCULATED ? TAKE CARE.

What makes you think the cat has rabies to begin with? If you suspected that your cat could have rabies - get it to a vet!! My understanding of rabies is that if you get BIT or SCRATCHED you can get it - not from "accidentally swallowing cat saliva"! (I could be wrong of course!!!!)

Probably not , but do you think your cat has rabies? Your cat would have to have rabies in order for you to get it and if your cat had rabies I am sure you would have more to worry about than your cat drinking from your glass or eating from your plate.. lol

If you have contact with any blood or saliva from an *infected* animal you have a chance of catching rabies, yes. Rabies is fatal if it is not caught early.

That said, your pet probably does not have it. It is not common except in countries where people do not routinely vaccinate their pets. If your kitty has had her shots, just keep it up and don't worry about it unless you get bitten by a stray animal, or a mouse, bat, raccoon etc.

If your kitty has not been vaccinated, go ***get her vaccinated today*** please. Cats are at risk for the disease because they kill vermin.

If you think your pet was exposed to rabies it will need to be quarantined and observed for ten days by a vet. If you have the dead body of the animal you think might have exposed your pet (mouse, bat, etc.) that animal can be tested immediately.

not that I know of. Does your cat have a rabies shot? If your cat does you should not be afraid.

Lots of people who have cats always give kisses on the mouth to their cats.
These people didn't get rabies..
Personally I won't kisses my cat in the mouth...
So don't worry... you won't get rabies..
