this is what i've always wondered too...somebody said as an answer "foolish"...well they just aren't open enough to or capable of understanding this question...mostly they believe whatever they are told...try to think of "god" as a force of nature like gravity or something..instead of thinking of him as a "person or individual" who is somehow powerfull enough to create us..

I respect your question - actually, you use logic that is sometimes used to defend Christian faith when we speak of a creator.
We believe in an almighty God. He is infinite (doesn't work within our view of time), omnipotent (has complete control and power, though of course he is able to and does choose to relinquish His power in some areas) and perfect. His ways are beyond our own - as should be expected in this God. The universe was created by Him and all things are held together by God. God has always existed. This God wouldn't be who He is if he has a creator. He is not like the folklore gods of the Greeks - He is, was and always will be.

This is a question that has puzzled the mind of man since time began, I suppose. I remember as a child asking my mother this very question. That was many years ago. It is a question that no one can answer my enquiring friend. Religious people accept by faith that God has existed before time. If we knew the answer to this we would be God. It is a mystery that we may never know until we meet God. Faith, is demonstrated many ways in life even in the secular world without answers to all questions. That is what makes life so fascinating.

No...we believe that God created the world and everything in it. God was not created but always was and always will be.
If you do not believe that then tell your explanation of where the world came from. If you say the "big bang" then where did that matter come from? Where did the universe come from? Was it always here? Something had to be the first thing...

Wow.... what an original question that has NEVER been asked before.
Interesting how you ask a question then define the realm with which I can answer it.
You answer first... prove to me that there isn't a creator, without saying that there isn't proof of one... otherwise you are contradciting yourself. When you can do that I'll take you seriously.
Let me know when you have a question that actually challenges my faith. Until then... go away.

Why do you refuse to believe? Jesus Christ impacted this world so greatly that He split time in two! BC / AD
The devil has come down to us and he has tried to change time.
In the 60's you saw this date line start to drop off of important documents "in the year of our Lord, A.D. one thousand nine hundred and sixty." You saw daylight savings time and short dates being used 1/1/60, 01-01-1960. Everything became an abbreviation. Man ran in a circle faster than ever. Drugs increased. Promiscuous sex increased. Pornography increased. Cults increased. July 1947 the Roswell incident and Israel became a nation in 1948. The moment Israel became a nation the surrounding Arab nations attacked. It is almost as if the devil came down in 1947. Hitler began the devil's reign on earth. It is almost as if John the Baptist announced the coming of Christ and Hitler announced the coming of Satan. The devil is a copycat.

God has always been and always will be - he is THE creator and therefore that belief does not contradict someone as a creationist.

We believe there is one creator (God), who created all things. There is no need for another God because the God we have has is eternal.

the only way i know to respond to that's that God is exterior of time. God did no longer start up and he won't have an end. that's not lots that he constantly replaced into there as that he created the possibility for some thing to have a start up and an end.

God says he is the" self existant one",at the burning bush.He said "I AM that I Am".Jesus claimed this also in John 8:58.
Something has to be the final Source.I believe it is HE.
Creation is not like 'perpetual motion ' that never stops. There has to be a beginning.

Creationism has no obligation to follow the law of contradictions. This is a logical rule, and creationism is free from this limitation. Religion itself is highly contradictive, but this poses no problem to people who choose to not think rationally.
