From what I gather church is a place where believers come together to worship God. But when someone like a preacher or another person in the church does evil to someone, I have always been told to ignore it and focus on God. Why are these people's actions to be totally ignored? Are we supposed to walk around like robots? No feelings or no emotion? I believe that when someone committs an evil deed against someone else in the church, the problem should be addressed! AND ADDRESSED NOW!!! You can't just do absolutely nothing and allow these types of people to destroy the lives of others. I do not believe for one second that a man of God, Deacon or anyone else has the authority to destroy the lives of others. In fact they should be kicked out of the church! I don't care what their so called "authority" in the church may be. I'm not a fan of slander, backbiting, or any form of evil speaking. A liar should not be telling me what to do and how to make heaven.

Whoever told you to ignore it is wrong. Those 'wrong-doers' are obviously abusin gtheir power and should be made aware of. However, you shouldnt hold the religion responsible for their actions, and in that case, you should focus on the religion, not particularly the action.

How others feel does matter, otherwise Jesus would not have taught His followers to NOT stumble other believers, or non-believers. We can overlook the faults of others because we have sin in our lives also. No one is worthy to cast the first stone.

Scripture teaches that the Christian makes the first move toward reconciliation (methods of discipline within the church)
regardless of who perpetrated the evil.

It is Biblical to go to the person who is committing an offense and tell them.

If it is your pastor seek to speak with an elder, if it is a deacon talk to your pastor, then figure out a plan for going to that person and making them aware of the offense.

God is just the big general, that wanted joyless robotic followers for his huge war for taking over the universe. Just a more diabolical Hitler.

If your church tells you to ignore evil, find a new church.

Congratulations, you've just taken the first step to waking up. When you get your eyes all the way open, you will see that all organized religion is BS. You don't need another person to tell you how to percieve deity, as all they can do is tell you THEIR perception of it.
