I had acid reflux from medication. Fish causes no problems at all. The primary culprits are (a) overeating (b) dairy products (c) acidic products and (d) too many carbohydrates at one time.

I had to give up pizza. Just never worked for me. I can have diced tomatoes, but no tomato sauce (not even ketchup) because it is just too acidic.

I currently get acid reflux only when changing weight. I found that having less at dinner, and then a snack at bedtime helped a lot for sleeping with any acid reflus. A rye cracker with 1 oz. of cheddar cheese and either butter or mayo has worked best for me.

Everybody is different I have it and ketchup and a few seasonings will cause it, also aspirin based products. I eat fish especially perch with no problem. My daughter on the other hand age 14 cannot eat fish has problems with chocolate and some other junk foods. We have both been scoped and diagnosed the same thing by 2 different doctors. The best thing to do is try a little and see if your stomach gets upset. Another thing that causes acid reflux is over eating. Don't eat large portions eat smaller portions over the day. Instead of 1 big meal have multiple mini meals I call them.
