Reiki is another occult technique - similar to yoga that can easily lead a Christian astray. Unfortunately many Christians will never question this and will fall into this satanic trap unawares.

Im not sure what to make of it - my mother is one stage down from being a reiki master - my father tried to learn but he actually transferred the patients ailments to himself - eg. i have a sore arm - he would get the sore arm...
Anyway one day I let my mum do it on me (Im ever the sceptic but always willing to give things a go) anyway I lay down on the massage table wide awake - she didnt touch me (as is done with reiki) but I fell asleep at some stage and when I woke up she said to me that she could see that I was fighting with my flat mate (I hadnt told her but she may have been able to pick up on it from other things like the way I was behaving etc) but she also told me to watch out for my dog as she could see it getting run over soon - a week later he ran onto the road and was nearly hit by a car - it kind of freaked me out but she said that she couldnt see anything I didnt want her to see - but I was still a bit strange about it all so havent let her do it to me since and she has respected that wish (as far as I know as Reiki can be done when your not in each others company you can be miles apart from each other)

Hi all,
I would love a reiki session, have heard its really good.
Plus i love the mantras (have a reiki self-healing cd). But none of my friends do reiki. I may at a later stage of my training but have heard you need to go and get tweeked or something, not sure what that entails or how it sounds and that makes me a bit nervous (you know what i mean ??)
Tweek On Reiki Masters !!!

I've had a massage therapist who does Reiki work on me, and I can tell you it certainly does no harm. She's amazingly good.
To the first answerer: How is it "idolatry"? What idols are being worshipped when one manipulates energy? You fundies crack me up. Anything you don't understand is "of the devil". LOL

oh course other religions are going to dismiss this infinate energy! it was shut down because we are all being shown the wrong way... there are so many bad people out there trying to stop the shift happening in 2012... but that's beside the point
reiki is an awesome way to help i've cured a sore ankle, stopped my cold and many headaches and it helps HEAPS when you can't fall asleep
it's a positive engery and therefore good we all should believe in it!
master's away!

It's not a god or a religion. You don't have to "believe" in it.
It's energy. It's there, all the time, whether you know it or not. It's got nothing to do with the devil or idols or any other propaganda.

I have an acquaintance that is a practioner. He's pretty sold on it, but I've never seen any great cures and healings from it.
From a Christian/Religious standpoint, it is a form of idolatry.
