You need to wear your contacts for a few hours before you go to the optician. They will test your sight whilst you are wearing the lenses to make sure they are still the correct strength for you, if you also wear glasses you need to take them with you, you will have to take out your lenses whilst they check your eyes though, this is when they are checking the back of your eyes so take your lens case as well, somethimes they put a dye into your eyes, it doesn't hurt, but it best not to put your lenses in straight away but the optician will advise you, most will give you one to use.

I always wear my lenses whether it's for a contact lens check up or the standard eye test and just take them off at the opticians. Be sure to take a case with you as sometimes they charge you (Specsavers charge but not Dollond and Aitchison).

When testing your eyes you should not wear contact lenses for approx 24 hours before the test. Best to just wear yous glasses.
But you can walk with you contacts if u want, they might test you for contacts and glasses at the same time. But they usually have disposables they get free from the suppliers which they use to test out on patients.

If this is a sight test, you need to take you lenses with you in a case and wear your glasses.
If it's a lense test, you need to be wearing them.
You need to ring the opticians and check, or it could be a wasted appointment.

Wear them to the doctor's office. They will do some preliminary tests. Then they remove the contacts for more tests. Take along your glasses. If they stain your eye liquids, reinserting soft contacts will stain them yellow. Also your eyes may be sensitive after being dilated.

It's best to have your contact case as well as your glasses, just in case.

When you go for a regular eye test don't wear them. And I think you have to not have been wearing them for three hours efore the test. If it is one of them contact lense check things then you gotta wear them! :-p

You won't be allowed to wear them during the test, they want to check your vision as it is. When I went for my last test, they gave me a contact lense holder to keep them in until the test was finished.

Wear your glasses before hand or you'll be asked to remove your lenses. Tests on your eyesight are to dertermine the ability of your eyes without being corredted!

well, you'd either not wear them there or take them out, other wise it defies the point of the eye test, brcause they can't tell if you have improved or worsening eyesight

bring them or your glasses if you have any.

you will need to be tested without the contacts being on, they will want to test your eyes and not your contacts.
