stretch! and chiropractic helps as well. if you can get massage therapy a couple times a week, that would help too. i have a really bad back from couch-hopping, sleeping bags, long car rides, car accidents, sports, etc - and massages and chiropractic work wonders!!

Try acupuncture or acupressure. What caused the pinched nerve? Is there a compression between the L3-L4, L4-L5, bones?
Physiotherapy helps.
SWD also helps.
Traction can help too. Try wearing a lumbar belt (brace).
If your pinched nerve has caused Sciatica, take Colocynthis 200 - a homeopathic medicine - 4 pills 4 times daily for 1 week or till symptoms abate. Homeopathic meds are completely harmless.

If it is low enough in the back, below the shoulders, I will lay on my back on a hard wood floor. Then I bring my knees up to make a curve in my back. I then rock back and forth for a couple of seconds. ( FOR ME, this pops the back and puts it back in line. For some people who haven't had their spine straight in a long time, this can hurt them.) I then lay flat on the floor for 10 minutes for the muscles to get used to the spine being straight.

Try warm compresses, but call your doctor too. It could be serious, and you don't want permanent damage.
