The top of my arm is lighter than the bottom of my arm. If I avoid the sun, will the bottom of my arm lighten?

Above the elbow, I'm a light brown. At the elbow, I'm a dark brown. Below the elbow I'm a normal brown. If I avoid the sun, will my arm even out?

Put sun-block on the dark areas.

Avoiding the sun will keep the skin from browing and will allow it to return to it's normal color. THis may take months, but it will happen.
