Did he really need to give away the souls of his most wayward sheep and condemn them to everlasting hellfire? Seems kind of mean to me.

So, we all aren't in his flock? I thought he loved all of us. You christians need to get your story straight.

So, you admit god made hell? "He prepared a fire for the devil and his angels". And, since when are well-meaning non-christians "the devil's angels"? What a joke.

what???
God Never made a deal with the devil...

If you're talking about the war in Heaven, God banished Lucifer and his followers because they did not want to accept God and Jesus' plan of Salvation

see what I don't think people understand is, you make the decision whether you go with God or with Satan. God doesn't have any control over that, matter of fact He gave you free will. Why do you think a holy and righteous God can accept man, who #1 don't accept Him and love Him enough to obey Him, and #2 rottening in sin. That's not logical! So it's up to the sheep. And everyboyd isn't God's sheep. Because His sheep knows His voice,a dn they will not folloe a stranger(devil)

The insinuation that God has ever made a deal with the devil is totally without merit! The true God, Jehovah, has Nothing to do with torture!

When referring to the practice some had adopted of live child sacrifice, Jehovah commented in anger:

".They built the high places of Ba′al that are in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to make their sons and their daughters pass through [the fire] to Mo′lech, a thing that I did not command them, neither did it come up into my heart to do this >DETESTABLE< thing..." --Jeremiah 32:35c

Jehovah God tortures No One.
False religion has used false teachings to scare people into following them. Consider what the Bible itself teaches:

"Man came to >be< a living soul." --Genesis 1:7b

“'The first man Adam >became< a living soul.' The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." -- 1 Corinthians 15:45

"The soul that is sinning--it itself will die." --Ezekiel 18:4

"All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going." --Ecclesiastes 9:10

"You will ... return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return." --Genesis 3:19

The hellfire / Lake of Fire / everlasting torment:
as mentioned in the Bible, is >SYMBOLIC< of everlasting destruction, without hope of resurrection. It applies to willful sinners, not truly ignorent sinners. It is Not actual torture!
Hell in the Bible is often used in place of sheol, which is the common grave of mankind. 'Helling potatoes' used to be a common term which referred to he storage of potatoes underground, perhaps in a cellar.

God did not make any deal with devil. God commanded devil to do something. He refused to do it just becos of his pride. So God cursed the devil to be in Hell Fire. But devil pleaded for some time so that he will use that time to divert men from the Right Path of life. Then God promised to send humans Messengers to show them the right path of life. You cant keep on asking questions with Why? You will never get answer for all bcos it is beyond our knowledge base. If we consider today's scientific knowledge of man, we can prove this. Look at our whole universe, then we will know how we are just a very minute creature in it. But still more minute creature than man is also present. To understand this, today scientists say our universe boundary is 4 billion light years away from earth. Man cant even imagine 1 light year. Our farthest planet Pluto is few million kms away from us. Beyond that we don’t know. But using today's technology we say & calculate 4 billion light years. Today whole world is running around "electronics". Do you know what is the dimension of one electron. Just when you on & off your tube light how many electrons move? Size of one electron is around 10 power minus 30 metres. Man cant even think of dividing 1 mm into 1000 parts. It is wrong to ask proof for everything we know becos today's science itself was started on some assumptions and faiths. Even today they remain as unproven faiths.

What deal? Hell was prepared for Satan and his angels. Satan does not rule hell, he will suffer in it.

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."
Matthew 25:41

Also, rebellious men are not wayward sheep. God hates sinners.

"The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong."
Psalm 5:5

"the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates"
Psalm 11:5

Unless you repent and accept Jesus, you fall under the jugment of God.

*Hell was prepared first for Satan and his angels because they were the first to fall. But hell is also for anyone who rejected Jesus-Christ. In Matthew 25:41, Jesus is talking at judgment day to everyone who rejected Christ. He is telling them to go into the hell prepared for Satan.

It is obvious. In a battle who makes the deal? It is always the weak one who is looking for a deal. There is a story The commander from the border security force called up his head office. He was panic struck. He cried "What shall I do? Our ammunition has run out of stock." His boss replied to him coolly." Don't worry. Keep on talking about a deal. Talk about making a peace pact. Meanwhile we will replenish your stock"
Look at today's world. God does not seem to be winning the battle. He has even thrown away his slogan of eternal punishment.Still he is not able to muster enough support.

HE DIDN'T. What you have just stated is just Catholic hogwash.
With no basis in the Bible.
People do NOT have separate 'souls'.
WE ARE SOULS.
living, breathing.
The word 'soul' is translated from the Hebrew word NEPHESH which means...that which breathes.
animals are also...'souls'
(Genesis 1:20) And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.”

LIVING SOULS...

There is no firey torment after death for anyone. The Bible nowhere teaches any such thing. This is a gross misrepresentation of God. Those who have misrepresented God by means of false teachings will have to answer to him.
