Carpal tunnel is in the wrist, a support that keeps it straight will help it enormously. The elbow is probably tennis elbow.
(That doesn't mean you have to play tennis to get it) Repetitive use and strain on the elbow will cause it.
There is a simple Velcro band that goes around the muscle just below the elbow. I had to wear mine several months until it was well. I think most Drug departments would have these items.

You can get a carpal tunnel brace from the drugstore. Wear it for 2 weeks daily and then just at night until your symptoms disappear.
Ibuprofen is good for pain relief as well as an anti-inflammatory.
Don't sleep on your side, particularly on your arm/shoulder.
Keep the brace and wear it if your symptoms flare up again.
It would be a good idea to see a neurologist as it could also be a sign of something more serious.

Get a wrist brace designed for carpal tunnel relief. You will, at some point have to see an orthopedic surgeon for advice/physical therapy. Oh, yeah...whatever you're doing that causes the pain stop doing that.

the advice above is all great--the braces are essential. I just felt compelled to tell you if surgery is ever recommended, do not hesitate. I let my carpal tunnel go on far too long, thinking i could control it, and it got so bad it was almost an emergency surgery. severe carpal tunnel is ghastly. do whatever you can right now. see a hand specialist, whatever it takes. good luck.

You will have to have therapy and maybe surgery depending on the level of damage. Also changing the way you type will help maybe a wireless keypad so you can sit back with the keypad in your lap.

Get a wrist brace and wear it. It will help you not move it as much. You should see your doctor, too....depending on how bad it is, you may need surgery.
