I'm an african american male and I find asian women (of any nationality) very attractive. Its not just their physical traits but their whole personality scheme, their caring, kind-hearted soul. I know this is not true for all asian women, but the ones that I've met so far have been.

It has gotten to the point that whenever I see an asian female (short, tall, skinny, fat) at work, school, or just somewhere nearby...I automatically become attracted. Although I've come close on a few occassions, I can never seem to build up enough esteem to express my feelings towards them. I always become shy and coy.

My entire family married/dated within their own race so it leads me to wonder if I'm the exception. Am I at fault ? How can I overcome my shyness? Is there anyone in a similar situation ?

-Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have dated a lot of Asian women... Filipinos, Thai, Japanese and Chinese... I love the culture and the people. I never went to school with any Asians when I was younger... I never dated any Asians when I was younger... then at some point hit me. They looked really attractive.

Most of the Asian women I've met were here in the US but were born overseas in their respective countries. But I am married now to a Filipino.. that is one beautiful woman inside and out.

You do not actually have to go to Asia to start corresponding with them in learning more. There are plenty of penpal sites that let you correspond with women there. When I was corresponding eight years ago I had to do it by snail mail. Now many women just go to an Internet café. But even with snail mail I got over 300 pieces of mail. A number of the women were from poor families but others were doctors and nurses.

I'm 48 and my wife is 29... age is also not an issue with Asian women that are not in the US.

Someone said it's a gift of God... considering that many Asians are Buddhist that seems a strange answer. Maybe they were talking about Filipinos that are mainly Christians.. but then only because the Spanish came and took over their country

Race doesnt really matter. But people always have something to say on the subject, even if its just behind closed doors. It doesnt make u weird, u are obviously just attracted & associate asian women with good things... as some connect blondes with being pretty etc. U arent weird, so just go for it!

ok, first, its not wrong for you to be attracted to asian women.

second, it is mainly the physical that you are attracted to. women of other nationalities could act the same way, but if im correct, you would still be more attracted to asian women. its just a part of being honest with yourself.

if you like a woman, any woman, just be yourself. flirt, ask them out on dates, be romantic. do the same as you would for any other woman.

i think that youre building it up in your mind that they are so different from everyone else that you dont know what to do or say, but really, they are the same. not to be harsh, but its a type of discrimination. just see the them same way that you see everyone one else and you wont have a problem.

good luck.

You have a fetish dude... thats all. I feel the same way about hispanic and middle eastern women. They are the sexiest things in the world to me and I'm not afraid to persue them either. I wouldn't worry about the race thing either. I'm black and I dated every race but Indian. My cousin is getting married to an asian woman. Just talk to these women and get to know them and if something is there.. it will happen. Just try to meet as many women as you can. Also.. show confidence because if you don't you have no chance.

I'm a white girl, but I consider Asian girls those who are Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc anyone oriental... Indian is not included.. I consider most Asian girls much cuter and more attractive than most Hispanic girls.

Move to Asia, or at least go on holiday there, then you'll get used to being with lots of Asian women and wont be so nervous or attracted to every one of them.

You have a right to like/love whomever you choose. Your family and friends may not understand as they've stayed connected to their own race.......

Get ur courage up and ask her out for a lunch or dinner or to a movie* no harm in asking..the worst thing she'll say is "no thankyou". Don't give up on what your preference is. To each and their own.
GOODLUCK*

Make sure you don't tell them you have a thing for asian girls that will turn them off. Just start with a simple hi (their name), to get the ball rolling

Because we're so irresistible! Hehehehe.
Just be natural. Be yourself, be open and be friendly.. Just think that there is nothing to be afraid of and you will not lose anything if you talk to them. Usually, each has her own language too, so make sure they are comfortable to talk in English.
Loosen up.. that's all. ;-)
Goodluck.

They are attractive because that is your preference. There is nothing wrong with that. Next time break the ice by speaking of the weather or whatever.
