find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

there are 3,500 calories in 1lb. So in order to lose about 1lb a week, i suppose you would have to cut down 3,500 calories from your diet + burn off 3,500.

Its so hard to keep track of calories. Any time I tried a diet where I was keeping track of calories, I failed. I'd love to share my new goals with you: after 2 years of trying to lose weight- i finally found something thats been working.

I dont go out to eat anymore (i'm 20, my boyfriend/friends LOVE going to the diner/out to eat - food that you eat out not only has more calories than if it were prepared at home, but the portion sizes are HUGE - and I have NO SELF CONTROL - so i'd finish whats on my plate - even if i felt sick!). If i DO go out, I try to get a salad and a cup of soup (most resteraunts offer that)

I have a new outlook on eating. Food is not for taste, but to nurish and fuel your body. I was going to have 2 waffles for breakfast yesterday - but i put them back in the freezer and had a packet of oatmeal instead. What will waffles do for my body? They're calories that I will be consuming & they're not even doing anything good for me! Fatty foods (French fries, fried chicken, fast foods..etc...) do more harm for your body than good. they're bad for your skin, your hair, and your health. dont eat them (unless its a special occasion or something)..

Drink lots of water, eat a balanced (nutritious) diet, take a multivitamin and exercise for at least 1/2 hour 3 times a week...those lbs should fall off ((It'll take some time, but thats the healthy way to get things done))

People used to tell me "You'll feel so good once you start eating healthy/losing weight"...its true! its amazing how different you'll feel.
