I'm about 70lbs overweight. I am 19 and have a very busy life. I am a full time college student, I work full time, and I help my mom (who has a tumor, going for surgery on Friday) raise my 3 siblings. Up until recently I didnt do exercises daily. I'd be lucky if I did them weekly!

I managed to find some time in the AM before I get ready for school/work.
This is what I do (in the order I do it in)
15 chair dips
30 sit ups
10 pushups
(and I repeat about 3 times)

I know that I need cardio also. I do get my heart rate up at work quite often (i work at a daycare) while playing with the kids outside/inside, and at school i park on the 6th floor of the parking garage (and i DONT take the elevator).

Asside from adding cardio, what improvements can I make to my daily exercises?I dont want to build big muscles, (but I've heard that having muscle burns more calories than having fat)... and please keep in mind that I only have about 15 minutes in the AM

hunnie sorry it has to be said but the dips sit ups and pushups are hardly going to do anything, they might help you tone up a tiny bit but you need proper exercise, maybe you should take a long walk or jog instead of doing them, for about 30 minutes then come home do 50-100 sit ups then have a quick shower. It only takes 2 mins for the sit ups and I do 600+ a day.. all at once and my stomach is perfectly toned and i've never had a problem with weight since including so much exercise in my Daily routine, because you're right muscle DOES burn more cals than fat does..
after you done what i mention above 4 a While., i don't know how you get to work but if you get a car or bus or something, try getting a bike or walking even JOGGING because you'll burn calories and it'll keep you super fit =) hope i helped

You know what.... Good for you. What you are doing will help for sure and from the sounds of it you've done a bit of research yourself so trust what you know already and keep looking into things and trying them out. Keep using whtever opportunies arise to do a little cardio, like walking instead of driving when possible and what not.

The only thing that I really recomend is to try and take some time out for yourself everyday. 15 minutes is not quite enough. Maybe even get someone to come on a daily walk with you if you have to watch some kids... Other than that keep up the good work

Doing those exercises (which is too less, btw) and eating ordinary meals as you do now, won't make you lose not even 1 pound. You need to follow a diet, eat more fruits, salads and fish, small portions and no bread, sugar, oil etc. Nothing that includes fats and carbs. And drink at least 2 L of water per day. That will help you lose weight quickly and "destroy" the cellulite. 20 min of gym in your room is enough, but only when following a diet. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

I try walking for a 10 minutes to warm up then run for 1 hour a day.
