You can not be Evangelist if God will not call you. And how can you be evangelist if you do not know the contents of the bible.
You will only be a false evangelist

Try taking some instruction in church in a discipleship class. That really helps. Also, don't force it. There are many many ways to evangelize. Start by meeting people where they are at and what they need. No one listens when they have no food and no shelter. They can't see past their needs. Start there and the rest will follow.

The very best thing that drives a person to evangelise is: the LOVE on fellow humen being that reflects the LOVE in God as it says in the epistles of John.
when you see some one on their death bed or some one just passed away just think of them, "where this person will be spend his after life or is spending the life after death."
this will drive you crazy to tell your neighbour at least once for their notice to choose.
when ever I see some non-believer in a dying status I feel very sad that they dont have the chance to enter. why didn't I tell him there is God who sent His son to save us to keep us with him? if He would have accepted the help of the Holy spirit he would have accepted Jesus?.

You can practice on me. I won't listen, won't be influenced and won't accept any party-line religion. This will be the most common response no matter how 'good' an evangelist you will ever be.

you can do nothing of yourself turn it over to God He will lead and direct you,people are just people when you know what your talking about be assured of yourself and understand that this is not of yourself but of God when you know that God is in control you cant lose
