Happiness is circumstantial. I look at the circumstance and tell myself that I am more than a conqueror. I have learnt that remaining down gives the circumstance an upper hand and so I would rather allow the Joy of the Lord find a place to remain my strength. In other times, I study my Bible and seeing that there is no circumstance not yet overcomed, I renew my strength.

This is a personal thing but I find copious amounts of alcohol and the resultant unconciousness , though not actually making me happy tends to nullify the depression somwhat.

My wife always manages to get me to laugh. That usually works. If she's not around, I will load up GTA San Andreas, stand on top of a tram and chaingun the heck out of everything. That sometimes works.

My husband is great at raising my spirits. Also, I like to go outdoors and pray/thank God for everything around me... and enabling me see, hear, and fully experience it.
