A God is not a spirit, a spirit is a soul, that was once a person, that is lingering on this plane. Gods, however, are Higher Beings, usually immortal. As for volatility, that depends on the individual God, as with people, some are easy to anger others not so.
Jesus M is right, about God being a spiritual being, although Gods are not spirits Themselves, they are of spirit.

God is spiritual being. and you are a kind of volatile. You will soon die but God is eternal. No beginning and no end. You want it or not you are a kind of volatile.
