Why is freedom for Iraqis more important than our troops lives?

Even the Iraqis don't seem to want freedom that much.

its ridiculous isnt it? i mean absolutly no offence to anyone (purely my opinion) but all i see on the news is them killing their own people????? what the! why should other countries involve themselves and die for them. most of the apparent innocent seem to grow into rebels anyway. beats me dude
it's sad for the iragis who are stuck there but it seems to be a lost cause.

Both are equally important and interdependent.
When the troops pull out and sent back home, their lives will be saved and Iraqis will be free again.
Can an occupation force guarantee the freedom of local inhabitants sitting inside their homes and causing to kill hundreds of civilians every day?

actually, Iraqis are trying to demand a timetable for our withdrawal, but every time prior to this President Bush has ignored their request. They want freedom from the US, a government they can run without the US looking over their shoulder. All the Iraq problems are internal, unfortunately. It is because they have so many different religious groups fighting over "religious lands" and personal beliefs, that until they can reside peacefully together they can never really be free.

A Free and Peaceful Iraq could lead to democratic reform across the Arab world, increasing the "common" citizens' standard of living, and reducing the "Jihadist" movement that threatens the free world by terrorism.

The opposite would destabilize the entire region, and spread even more unrest and would foster more potential terrorism.

When you haven't had freedom it is hard to grasp the idea!! hopefully they may visualize the concept!!! But secular hatred is the over riding factor in that country and all Muslim countries

Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought all human beings were equally deserving of human rights. I didn't realize American lives were worth more than the lives of other people outside the US. Silly me!
