That amounts to roughly to 6 litres/ person, I don't know from this idea of hyopnatremia,water intoxication, and cumbersome word death, it appears that they Goggling a tit bit from here and there, forget the normal kidneys/post TURP it's strongly recommended to have 4to 6 litres during the day time, so that they can get undisturbed sleep during the night.

There's no benefit to drinking excess water. It's probably harmless (puts a little extra stress on your kidneys, but they can take it) and your body just takes care of anything extra by peeing it out. Your body regulates its water level very carefully. The solute concentration is always within a very small range. Diluting your body with extra water would be very dangerous, so anything extra is simply excreted by the urinary system. The current research suggests that all the water you need is consumed in your food intake. The most important thing to do is listen to your body, not research: if you're thirsty, drink. If you're not thirsty, don't drink. If you can go a day or more without peeing, you're dehydrated and need more fluids. If not, you're fine. Regulating your sleep cycle might help you be a little more healthier though...Sleeping during the night instead of the day helps your body with its natural rhythm. Unless you have a night job---then there's nothing much you can do :)

i don't think so - i know that you can overhydrate, and that this can cause serious medical problems. 2 litres a day is more than enough for most people, but if you are very active, you should drink a litre per hour of exercise to replace lost fluids. if you guys work out all the time it's probably fine, but if not think about reducing your intake.

Well the recommended 8 glasses comes to around 2 litres per person. In your circumstance, presuming they roughly have equal (not 1,1,16) then it seems to be quite a lot to me. Over hydration can also do some bad things, messing up whats called osmosis in your body. So no, I'd advise them to drink quite a lot less, around 3.5l each at the very most.

That depends on the circumstances. I regularly consume 4-5 liters a day but I live in the tropics and need that much fluid to keep hydrated. In hot climates and dry climates extra fluids are needed to keep the body properly hydrated. From a strictly medical standpoint, I would say that it is ok in the short term but should be reduced when no longer needed at that daily volume.

I think it would best for you to rephrase your question.

But an average person usually drink 2-4 litres of water everyday. Too much fluid intake may increase the workload of your kidneys and is definitely no good. So do drink moderately :)

That is far too much, it will result in hyponatraemia due to dilution and water toxicity. You need about 2- 2 1/2 litres each, depending on temperature, humidity and exertion levels.

People arn't supposed to drink more then around 2-5 liters a day. they go over that limit then they will most likely be in hospital. So u do the maths 5 liters per person = 15 liters, someones going to the hospital

well it will take some doing and it will affect the salts within the body
I wouldn't do it stick to 3-4 litres
