Only on parts of your body that are if you like bony. i.e. back of your arm, rib cage, spine. You will feel a slight burning sensation when the do an outline of a tattoo, anywhere else, and the colouring can be done very quickly so you would only feel slight discomfort.

It depends on where you get the tattoo and how sensitive you as an individual are to pain. I have three fairly large tattoos: one on my right hip, one on my mid-back, and one on my left shoulder blade. I'd say the one on my sholder hurt the least, and the one on my hip hurt the most. If you are very tolerant to pain, dont hesitate to get it on a particularly sensitive place, like a hip or inner thigh. if you are more sensitive, get it on a more pain tolerant place, like your back or upper arm. But no matter what, there will be a small amount of pain because they are literally drilling a picture into your body.

Depends on where you get it and how high of a pain tolerance you have. Mine didn't hurt at all. It was nothing, getting my ears pierced hurt more then my tattoo did.

It's a pain that is easily forgotten, it doe's hurt a little but not that much. If the pain was that bad people would not have them but it doe's depend on where your going to have it some place's hurt more than others

Yep, and in some places they hurt a whole lot worse than others... Not just your "sensitive regions" either. Getting a tat done over an area where a bone is close to the skin is no picnic.

They do hurt but not really painful, if you have alot of colour it makes a difference, it goes numb when you have it done until the tattooist changes the colour of ink then you feel it again. The hardest bit is trying to stay still. When your friends say it looks great the pain was worth it.

Yes. I think it just depends on how you tolerate pain though. My boyfriend says the one on his forearm didn't really hurt it just scratched annoyingly. But when I got mine done on my arm it hurt real bad. The scratching needle moving on my skin was too bad for me. Just think it depends on the person.

Also depends on the size. If your unsure get a small tatto that'll only take about ten mins to do. You can see then if you want a bigga one or if its not for you.

of course they hurt, but the pain is worth it if you get a tattoo you really want.
