Matthew 27: 50, 51, 52, 53,
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
The dead arose when Christ died on the cross.

If he's real, then yes. I remember reading a verse where he brought a young girl back from the dead. And people can resurrect the dead, so to speak, because someone's technically dead when their heart has stopped for a certain amount of time.

It means you do not know the bible.when you believe that there other people who resurrected when Jesus rose from the dead. The infoprmation is false.
It was only Jesus Christ who rose from the dead and ascended to heaven.

I believe when Jesus our Lord died on the cross and gave up the ghost, some of the tombs were opened and some were resurrected.

I am not aware of this claim, perhaps you could give more information on who has said this.
The Catholic church (and possibly others) teach that by His death and resurrection Jesus 'opened the gates of heaven' thus making it possible for all those people deserving of heaven, who were already dead, to enter heaven.

Yes Mark this is true, what would that have been like for those who saw this I wonder? would they have been well spooked or what? those who came back from the dead however did not remain but went back to the grave again,so this was really a sign that Christ is the Ressurrection and the Life.

why don't you read the really story of Prophet Jesus from the holy Qur'an
"They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but another was made to resemble him to them. And indeed those who differ about it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge about it except assumptions. And they did not kill him for certain. Rather God raised him up to Himself (Alive). And God is ever All-Mighty and All-Wise." (Qur'an 4:157)
It is our belief as in the verse of the bible when Jesus (PBUH) prayed his Lord to "Pass this cup before me" which is understood by most Christian theologians to mean that He is asking God to save him from the plot of the Jews to kill him. Which in itself is proof enough that he wasn't sent to die for our sins or he would not be making such a supplication. It is established in the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that the supplications of Prophets are always accepted. This is a fact that was witnessed in the many miracles performed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he would supplicate God and it would come true in front of their eyes.
