Let's stand as one (or type :) ) against the terrorism which takes the lives of innocent people. Suicide bombing has no place in Islam, and they will not get seventy something virgins. It's not even mentioned in the Quran. There is a major difference between a martyr and a suicide bomber. Martyrs literally are trying to save a life that is about to die at that moment. Suicide bombers plan and go off in busy areas that are mainly filled with women and children getting groceries to cook for their families. It is against Islam, and I condemn it.

And for the ignorant who will say that no officials condemn it, look at the links. They do. They're ignored. See, the enemy the US is at war with will look better then, and our country can't have that (sarcasm)

Bless you for speaking up. I know that there are many Muslims like yourself out there, and we are not doing enough to support you.

Sis, I understand your grievances and I support your views. However, I would disagree with you on your (above) last paragraph.

I am a Muslim and coming from a country that ranks 3rd or 4th most populated country with Muslim majority (about 85% of 150 Million are Muslims). I never saw our Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) passing any resolution strongly condemning all sorts of suicide bombings (SB). I know that this is politically difficult to do so; even our religion would not allow anything of this nature- SB.

So, why blame others- mostly non-Muslims, for something which our Islamic and political leaders can help stop or reduce substantially within the precept (rule or guide, esp. for conduct) of our Islamic teachings?

I am at great pain even to find that our Imams on Friday congregations do not condemn all type of atrocities committed by these so called Jihadists mostly in Iraq and Afghanistan who are not only killing and maiming innocent people but also tarnishing Image of Islam and those of its followers - Muslims.

I am not at all suggesting that people dying for the cause of liberation of their motherland and such noble causes are all termed as terrorist. Rather, in our religion (like in other religion, may be except Buddhism) it is encouraged to fight for own cause and secure justice for own people and country.

The Martyr or Shahid has very specific meaning and their missions are also clearly spelled out in our religion. What we see with Al-Qaeda and such groups' activities do not fall under this category of being Martyr. We have seen in our own country these people once started with similar campaign similar to the fundamentalist all over the world which ultimately got dampened after six top leaders were sent to the gallows recently after going through proper judicial speedy-trials under the law of the land.

Sorry for hurting your feeling, if any, but I myself am perturbed by the fact that we are not hitting the problem on its head and wasting our time explaining others as to why they should not misunderstand us or our religion! My anger is directed more towards our ineffective leadership both religious and political than to any individual.

If Bush and his cronies ignore our combined condemnation of all terrorist acts in the name of Islam. and persuade the media to ignore it as well..its because it helps him to stir anger and hatred against the Middle East so he can act with total impunity and disregard the United Nations and whomever else goes against him. By making us all look like the enemy he gets to do as he pleases and the American people are duped into believing he's right and all Muslims are wrong.

I for one think that its actually Bush that knows where Bin Laden is but chooses not to capture him as an occasional video from Bin Laden only helps to add fuel to the fire....

but if you insist you have to remember where are sources of terror
who really made terror a theory in order to let poor palestinians to run away fearing of death
left homes and houses
or seek for red indians and check witrh them where are their history books
or go to iraq and ask who had starved their children
or killed 660 000 within 4 years
or go to afaghanistan and check the war against communism and how all these arabs and moslems were brought and tought what is extremest and how to be one
they were trained
given weapons
tunnels
and they win
but what afterwards
they discovered that their land was invadied

Preach it!
