No. I don't believe that there is any religion which regards suicide as desirable.
You need to understand that 'sin' is not necessarily what is defined by 'thou shalt' and 'thou shalt not'. It is defined by our own relationship with a greater force or being which is like a river flowing towards a harmonic symbiosis of the whole universe. Each religion has its own way of describing this: some call it God or Allah; some see it as impersonal. All of them try to describe a universe in which every individual is part of a creative whole - a dynamic force which is flowing towards unity. Those individuals who do not recognise this and even actively and selfishly try to oppose it are called 'sinners' because sin is simply the act of trying to hinder rather than help this force.
Within this framework, those who understand it believe that humans were created with a purpose: that of actively and positively assisting creation. All the myths and stories of every major religion are aimed at explaining this.
"No man is an island." We do not belong to ourselves, we are part of a larger whole, whether we like it or not, so to unnaturally and selfishly deprive the whole of a part of it is to go against the good of the whole. Since it is against the good of the common weal, it is called a sin.

Christianity does not explicitly condemn suicide. An Israelite in the Old Testament committed suicide, but was not condemned for it by God or men. Those who made suicide a crime because Christianity condemns it went beyond their authority.
I'm not suggesting for a moment that suicide is a good thing, just that the God of the Bible has not specifically prohibited it or even mentioned it- and he covered most things.

No. In Islam suicide is considered to be a sin - 'haram'..
As in Christianity, only God has the power of life and death. Doesn't stop the state governments in 'God's own country' carrying out the death penalty.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Islam considers suicide to be a sin as well.
Look, it's right here in the Quran:
[ 4:29] O you who believe, do not consume each others' properties illicitly - only mutually acceptable transactions are permitted. You shall not kill yourselves. GOD is Merciful towards you.
[ 4:30] Anyone who commits these transgressions, maliciously and deliberately, we will condemn him to Hell. This is easy for GOD to do.

No where in the Bible does it say that suicide is a sin. No where in Scripture does it cite suicide as being an unforgivable act.
This is a sensitive subject for me...
I had an uncle growing up who had his share of demons to battle. Alcoholism, drug addiction, depression... you name it he struggled with it. He was also a Christian who tried his best to serve God. Sadly, he was sick. The depression really ate at him. Ten years ago he shot himself.
I do not believe he is in hell. I do not believe in a God who knew my uncle's heart and knew his pain and yet still condemned him to hell. If you do, I feel bad for you.

Suicide is not technically a Sin:
It was only made a Sin when the Church re-wrote the Commandment from Though Shalt not Murder to Though Shalt not Kill.

Its one of the top sins in islam.
Didn't even think about the suicide bombers. ...The terrorist in this case are committing suicide and murdering innocents...so yeah sin.
You are allowed to sacrifice yourself for others. So you are technically killing yourself or allowing yourself to die, but you are saving the life of others.
