I have been suffering long enoug with the shoulder/arm pain. I cannot even get up out of bed unless I grab on to something. When I sleep I lay on my arm, which I cannot help. I have very bad back issues too. I did see my orthodepdic dr last year about my arm and he said I have rotor cuff tear. I have it in both arms though. I wonder if this is connected anyway with my back problems. I am currently wearing a tens unit. I am a mess. OK thanks

The only way the rotor cuff tear would be associated with your back is if you had an accident that injured both At the same time. Otherwise it's two separate issues. If you could sleep on your back it would help the arm pain.

I suggest you see a chiropractor for a second opinion on your back and shoulder problem. I've enclosed a link where you can find a doctor in your area.

The only medical solution for the rotor cuff is surgery. The surgery has advanced and people are doing much better afterwards.

If you have a torn rotator cuff then the only way to fix it is by having it surgically fixed. It is a fairly easy surgery to recover from and will end your arm and shoulder pain. Your rotator cuff has no connection to your back issues. You need to see and orthopedic surgeon who will agree to fix your shoulder via surgery and not just pain meds. Your shoulder will not heal on its own.

Good luck and I hope you get your shoulder fixed and can find pain relief soon.
