where is somewhere warm, preferably tropical, and not going to make us poor for the next 4 yrs. lol. what is a lovely cost effective getaway for the honeymoon?
any ideas?

Phuket. It's not that far from australia, its nice and warm, its inexpensive and there is alot you can do there. Partying, the beaches there are beautiful ( go to Phi Phi island), amazing massages you can get together. Another place i would recommend is goa in india, but avoid summers cos its really hot.

If you are not to worried about distance go to the British Virgin Islands.It is warm here for most of the year, the sand is white and the oceans are turquoise.I went to the Isnad of Anegada for my honeymoon.My husband rented a house fifty feet from the water and we had a blast kayaking, swimming and walking on the beach. It is quiet, peaceful and you really get to concentrate on being together.

Cuba - it's where we went for our honeymoon. There are some gorgeous places to visit there, plenty of culture, white sandy beaches. You can get some good all inclusive deals. Check out Hotel Playa Pesquero, great reviews and definitely worth going back to.

Costa Rica or Puerto Rico are suppose to be fairly cheap but high on quality and beauty.
