I only skimmed your question...so i might've missed something.
I agree though i think. I agree for the most part with the genesis story, but think its metaphorical. God made the world in 6 days, but...days mean stages or events.
Regardless of that, i think the big point is that we are here because of god.
But yeah, I dont' see why evolution / creationism can't go hand in hand. Just about everything in this world can be modeled with science, why can't god have done this.....make sense of the universe rather than us thinkign things are magic and we shoudl burn witches.
Anyways, you can't prove creationism...you need faith. And evolution is still just a theory....not proven. Even the big bang / big crunch theory has been thrown out. Big bang event is still agreed to have happened, but now the explanation of how the universe works is string theory / m-theory and if you know anything about it....its pretty bizzare and still just a theory.
People just feel like they have to take a polar view point. Evolution is a pretty strong theory, so evolutionist say something along those lines had to happen since there is no good.
The creationist react...saying thats blasphemy and take the opposite viewpoint that evolution could never happen without much thought.
Can say the evolutionist react by saying evolution HAS to have happened....after hearing the god point.
DOesn't matter which one came first. SOrta a cycle.

A question for the ages, for sure. But notice how your second responder so casually denigrates the first responder. This is a perfect example of the double-standard, typical atheist response. They want proof of God in creation, but refuse to accept the fact that there is NO evidence of evolution. There never was and there never will be. The atheists who write things like your second responder did are more laughable than the atheist who posted a question or a response about pteradactyls being spotted somewher in the south pacific recently. I mean, where or at what point does someone say enough is enough- you atheists have made of yourselves the biggest donkey's asses long enough with your overactive, science-"fiction" BS? Several weeks ago an atheist posted a question in which he actually said that "science" has "proof" that cats, ordinary house cats, can talk to humans in what ever language the human who owns that particular cat speaks, I lie to you not.. I laughed until I cried...and the guy was absolutely serious. How much goofier can these people get???

Many, many years ago before we had so much evidence of evolution, I thought God in his wisdom would know man had the capacity and curiosity to delve into the past.
Wouldn't it be kind of silly if he left fingerprints of creation. That would take the faith out of belief and it would be based on fact.
I'm comfortable with evolution and don't see the conflict with creation unless you want to take Genesis literally. There's a whole lot of things in the Old Testament that are not taken literally, why can this not be another one.
If someone disputes evolution are they defending God or Genesis?

I don't see why there needs to be a conflict. I think that those who dismiss evolution using faith-based arguments are in the minority, they are just persistent and loud. The Catholic Church accepts evolution as probable, (see first link below) as do most mainstream religions. Many are neutral, so at least they are not opposed to it. Some are against it. See second link below for a list. The Catholics went so far as to condemn the teaching of intelligent design in science schools, as an insult to both science and religion.
If Creationists keep their arguments to the development of the soul, and leave the evolution of the body to scientists, there would not be any conflict, and we could all get on with our work.

The short answer is that Genesis creation is mythology. If you don’t know how something can exist then invent a being (who is conveniently invisible) who made the universe out of nothing. It’s not about recipes, there is simply no evidence for creation whatsoever. Maybe we’ll find an explanation, maybe never, but it doesn’t mean people have to jump to conclusions with this creator god business, that is really an intellectually dishonest and lazy answer.

1. There is no sequence of events that explain evolution scientifically.
2. There are no natural processes that explain evolution without scientific gaps. Like explaining how life comes into inanimate elements.
3. There are no natural processes that explain the development of complex organ systems and especially symbiotic complex organ systems working together.
4. The dating methods are subjective, dubious, and circular in reasoning.
5. Over 200 cosmic constants have to be in place for life to exist on earth and they must all be in place at the same time in synchronicity just like when you plug in a life support system in the hospital and turn it on.
6. There is no recipe.
7. An event outline is possible in creation events but wouldn't include evolution by natural processes because there are none.
8. All one can honestly explain about species is it's variations, specializations, and morphology, but not it's origins.

well, I had 2 side. For evolution, the scientists word really hard on how could the big bang works. in other hand, the bible was written by the real people back then, and the bible include how god created this earth. Well, people have different thinking and that's what I believe in.

Arthur thanks for your opinion. but when you do not accept the scripture as God breathed and the truth our evidence is not as upstanding as we would like but just as evolutionist find little bits and pieces to their theory. so do Christians we are uncovering more and more history carved in stone that prove piece by piece the bible is true. in the future try and wait for some responses then edit your question you might get more responses as people may feel you have made up your mind and pass the question on as someone with an agenda. I believe we all have something to say based on our beliefs. the amount of evidence to believe in evolution you must admit is a leap of faith also. finding a set of bones in Ethiopia and declaring them the missing link before real research is done can be dangerous. look up Lucy and evolution. unfortunately this is what happened with her bones. again thanks for your opinion and have a great morning.

who are to say evolution is not creation and creation is not evolution?
for it is in the bible... a second is like a thousand years....
the evolution process could be the stages of creation?
even the "big bang", who can say for sure that the "big bang" was not god snapping his fingers?
to me, it doesn't matter...
what matters is that we ARE here.
so live life to the fullest.
