i am in love with the father of my 15 month old daughter. during my pregnancy i broke up wiht him, and he went back to his old girlfriend. he tells me when he is drinking that he loves me and wants to be with me and our baby. he comes to see her every month or so, he lives about 3 hour away. so i am seeing this other guy and i really am not in lve with him but i think if i give it time i could be, maybe. what do i do? trying to be with my daughter's father would mean breaking up a relationship. being with this other guy feels like setteling, but i have tried a few times to get rid of him and he is very insistant and loves me and blah blah lha. i need a little advice, than you.

Your Ex is an X for a reason. He's not being true to the girl his with now, so that doesn't make him a changed man. You're settleing with guy #2. Seems like you're afraid to be alone.

Well you broke with him for a reason in the first place. What was that reason? It must of been a good one then, is it still an issue now? As for him telling you he loves you and the baby when he is drunk... I have 2 problems with this. 1. Sounds like he has a drinking problem. 2. Is it him talking or the alcohol? If he really loved you and his daughter, and wanted to be with you, he would of left the other girl, and worked on building a life with you.

Consider what your priorities are. You have a daughter to care for and a life to live. Focus on that. As for a man in your house, seems to me you will choose whatever you want, not what we tell you. You can consider economics, pick the one with the best financial prospects. You can consider romance, pick the best lover. You can consider companionship, pick the one whose the most fun. You can consider who would be the most reliable, pick the most trustworthy.These are life choices you have to make...and of course, live with the consequences. Good luck.
