Translation from German to English?

Question

I would appreciate any help with translating these epitaphs from the cemetery on my property. One of these is the original owner of my land, and I want to find out more about the people who originally settled here. Thanks in advance.

(Not every one of this lines makes full sense to me, it does not say what he has overcome, and I do not know what is meant by "Salem", but that's what it says.)

That's it, I think they do not contain much personal information, they are rather general epitaph verses.
