Alcohol has a used by date? I guess I've never noticed, because I don't keep it very long. hehehe I think it would just be the taste and if the taste is ok then I wouldn't worry about it. It is alcohol, it has already fermented, so it is not going to rot anymore.

Depend on the Alcohol. Beer and some wine spoils. Hard liquor last for a very long time , like forever. I heard they found some Roman wine that are a few millinia old. They actually tried some.

I dont know about Beer ! Usually has a Expiration Date on it.
Booze should'nt go Bad at all, as long it is unopened. After that it may loose it's Potency, like some Scotch or Cognac.
Wine if it's stored Properly will be alright for a long Time, even Champagne has survived for a Century or so !!!!!!!!!!

Beer can go bad but I have not heard of any cases where people were hurt by consuming it. Wine turns to vinegar if and when it goes bad. Liquor does not go bad. I have some Jack that is over 30 years old and still as smooth as the day it went in the bottle.

If you are referring to beer, it is usualy "skunked" if it has past the use-by date. Which usually makes the alcohol taste bad, you could get sick from it, or none of the above. I wouldn't suggest it though.

I didn't think alcohol expired unless it was beer and then I wouldn't touch with a ten feet pole. It would probably make you sick.

It is perfectly safe, even more so if it hasn't been opened. Just open it and smell. You nose will tell you first if it is bad. Then give it a little taste.
After that, enjoy.
