A park !!!
This crops up a few times. She dresses up and does her make up and i take her to a park !!!
Might just work if she was 2 and i was 3.

A nice hotel,you can have a drink,a chat and if the evening progresses and neither of you want to go home,you have the sleeping arrangements sorted out as well!!

It dependes what sort of girl she is really, If she is quite funloving take her somewhere like quaser or megazone (where you shoot eachother with lasers) I have been a couple of times and it is great, plus it only costs about £5.
If she is a bit quieter you could make / buy a picnic and if its a nice day take it to the park, or you could go to a coffe shop together.

Take an indoor rock climbing lesson together. Any kind of date that gets the adrenaline pumping is a great way to add some excitement to the evening.
Once you learn the basics, including tying the knots and how to belay, you'll be able to break off into pairs, thus avoiding the "group date". One of you belays while the other climbs, so you can take turns encouraging each other and challenging yourselves with more difficult climbs.

Find a really interesting art exhibit. Look online at the museums near you. There is usually a place to eat on the grounds. I think it is cool to take in an exhibit and just hang out there. Very romantic and stimulating to the lover.

The best first date I eve had was when he took me to the Zoo then onto dinner.
Another great date was ice-skating at an outdoor rink but it only works in the winter really

If you live in LA, take a picnic dinner to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert with fireworks
OR
Go to a nice restaurant with a warm and gentle environment where people don't eat--they dine.

Depending on how much money you would have.....
I would love for a first date just to go out to a restaurant have something to eat. Then go back to yours/hers house with a couple of movies and ice-cream.
That way you also get to know each other better.
Second date would be more to involve people as you have got to know her now.

lol i dont think he plans to spend thousands of dollars taking her out of the country. you can try taking her to outdoor malls like the promanade. theres options for food/drinks, outside entertainment + movies + shops. good way cause then you're both forced to talk, and can talk =]
