They rest. Depending on how long the stopover is, they also do some sightseeing or shopping if interested. Some of them go out and yes, some probably shag pilots or other crew or someone else, but that is their private life and let me assure you - it doesn't happen very often. really, they try to rest as much as they can, especially if they just came off a busy and long flight and they have another one coming up back.

depending on when their next flight are, they normally spend time in that spesific area and go to their hotel rooms where they might spend the night. It is like free time for them.
