I asked the same question when dating, I think that ya sometimes were looking in the wrong places for love or just a friend.
Then again there are times love just appears out of no where and being in past relationships, I know more or less what i want in my life and what I do not want.
I am not in such a hurry to be with just anyone or someone that tells me they want to be with me.
I personally have found at the same time wondering about love, I have discovered myself and more about myself as far as wants and likes and abilities and what have you. More and more I have invested more and more time my self and learned to appreciate myself more and not as willing to just be with just anyone or setteling for the " she will do" mentality for lessons learned, that type of think can be more trouble than its want of a being in a relationship.
as for looking for a real person well.... I think all you can do is hope the person is honest with themselves as they are with you and if they can not. hmmm well stay away for you can not save anyone they must save themselves.... A reality that is... well just that reality no matter how bitter it is....

If you're relatively young, like 23 and under, it's tough to find a guy that isn't just interested in sex.
There's a lot of phony people in general, and genuine people are simply the minority. If you're a real person, you will atract real people. Be open to meeting someone different than maybe you usually talk to.
I hope this helps. Good Luck.
Oh yeah, when you stop looking for someone, thats when you'll usually find someone.

Yup its very difficult to find a real man. Thats because a lot of guys out there are wussies and the guys that are not, usually date more than one girl or is taken. You just have to keep searching.

I agree with you. Chances are you have been braught up to think that attractive guys are real nice guys. Attractive nice guys that dress up tend to either be taken, gay or players. Its the ones you pass up because they arnt wearing the latest threads or adhering to the latest fassions are the ones that probally are keepers.
Maybe start thinking outside the box a bit and have a chat to a more down to earth looking guy. Best of luck with your manhunt :P

I totally agree. Girls are so full of make up and fairy tale ideas of what the real world is suppose to be about. They want a guy to treat them like a princess and they're no where near being one. They say they want a guy to like them "for who they are" and they don't even know who they are.

As a guy, I can't help but be attracted to a woman who pleases my visual centers. But I am very interested in her as a person, her values, he sense of self-worth, her integrity and the content of her character. I think that is what you are talking about.
