I was totally put down by a guy I was talking to he was mean rude and condasending Please I need help to move beyond this what do you suggest ?

I dumped him the next day I just can't seem to move past the depression that I feel over what he said

Ignore the mean, rude condescending, JERK!
Walk away and you have the upper hand!
He talks to others this way because of low self-esteem. You can just smile and move on. You know your better than that!
Getting over it is your job! If you let it bother you he wins. Please don't let that happen.

People do this because they think (subconsciously) that they will look and feel better if they make others look bad. It doesn't work, but it's hard to change. There is a book called, "How to Deal with Difficult People." I believe that's the title, but alibris.com should be able to find it even if the title is slightly different. You probably noticed that if a book had to be written about it, it's a widespread problem. We all will have to deal with people like that from time to time. So pick up the book now, and you will be better prepared for the next one.

You know your better than that. Some guys are ignorant or have been through some rough times that they have not gotten over. It isn't your fault. You already made the toughest move. I am proud of you. You respect yourself and that is what counts. You go girl, something better is out there for you.

My suggestion is don't worry or care what others think about you. Love yourself. Anyone that puts you down is obviously not worth your time. There will always be people like this and we can't change those people, all we can do is turn the other cheek and keep your head up. :)

Maybe he is insecure about something. The only reason a person would ever insult someone is if he feels inadequate in some area and gets a boost by making you feel like crap.
It's pathetic. Maybe he has a small **** and he's just upset about it. Who knows. In any case, you should feel sorry for him...

is anything he said true? do you believe those things of yourself? Then who do you believe most? Yourself or some rude jerk?
Even if anything he said is true, there's a way to say it without hurting someone's feelings. He obviously did not mean to help you by telling you those things. If he's not right, blow him off. Trust your own judgement of yourself more than the rude words of someone who isn't even worth your time.

It is possible that his mom gave him a difficult time that day, and toke it out on you. The guy will get what he deserves. Focus on the people that are good to you and care.
Life is to short to hate, you will only get your self hurt.

i think hes probably just jealous of somethin u got and he dont so he says somethin mean to u because hes a peice of shiit and insecure about himself..but get over it there is nice guys in the world =)
