was it necessary to mention before the fight that pacquiao is a congressional candidate?

Well he was goofing off in the early rounds but had a sense of urgency when he had the cut. I believe he would have won it early but just had to play around so that the fans would feel that they had their times worth.

I agree with Freddie Roach's assessment. In a scale of 1-10, I'll rate him a five. He could have finished the match earlier. He could have avoided the headbutt if he did not take Solis lightly. Imagine, prior to the fight, instead of watching the whole Solis tape, he just watched a round and walked out. He sparred with mediocre sparmates in the Philippines and rushed the training in the States... Pacquiao was concentranting in politics and commercials that time. He could have been in Wild Card in Feb. not March. Pac-man is not that disciplined for the fight. I am disappointed.

That's his worst showing in a while. He could have finished the job earlier on. He only had the urgency when he was cut.
I like him as a boxer and not a politician. He'll do better and much more if he stays in boxing. He's still at the peak of his career.
