I have a TENS unit that I use regularly and I was wondering if I should sit or lay down and not move much when using it? I'm wondering if it works better that way or can I move round with it on and house clean or cook or something? Thanks

Whatever position that is restful to the muscles that are affected is the position you should be in.

Because of your question, I'm assuming it's your back?

In any event, the Tens unit is best used in a resting position ONLY, never while during activity as well.

It is good if you can use this while resting. I have used a TENS unit while doing simple tasks, because without it I couldn't do anything. many people end up using it like I did because they can't function Otherwise. I suggest you ask your physical therapist what's the best way for you to use the unit. That way you will not be guessing.

You can do it however you feel that it works best for you. There is really considered a "better" way to use it, but you can use it doing whatever you want. I usually use ice over the pads so I usually have to lay down so that the ice doesn't fall off, but you can do it however it works best for you.

You should be in a resting position to allow the full benefit of the TENS treatment.

Ahhhh...TENS. That feels sooooo good...better than any pain medicine.
