Why do so many girls always demand or at least urge to go for the tall guy yet the "hottest" men alive arent that tall. (Brad Pitt 5'11," Johnny Depp 5'10," wentworth miller 5'11")?

I don't think it's looking down it's preference. Usually u like the opposite of what u are. I'm short so I like a guy 5'8 or taller. But if I get to know someone height doesn't matter.

Dear Friend, As human beings it's natural to feel that being taller would make a girl like you. Well I've being going out with tall girls myself and found that they love me for my personality and confidants. The number one reason girls love taller guys is because they have confident because naturally taller guys are not pressured about their height with girls. But seeing a short guy with a taller girl will make people wonder and talking. But pay no attention with these kind of people. They can only talk about you but do nothing. So if you like a girl who is taller than you, have the balls to ask her out. Because a real man would do that no matter what. Trust me girls naturally love boys. No matter the size. It's what you feel about that person that counts.

Being 5'5", this makes me feel inadequate because these "short" men are over five inches taller than me. But, I think women think tall men are more attractive because, for some reason or another, they've been spoon-fed the idea by someone or something else.

Cause 1\2 the time chicks dont even know what tall is lmao!!!! Tall to me is like 6ft upwards. Now thats tall. I guess there preference of tall is basically afew inches taller then them thats all. But otherwise not all chix prefer guys tall.

First off being 5'10 or 5'11 aren't great examples of short men (I believe the average american male is in the 5'6 to 5'7 range). But when it comes to dudes like Tom Cruise, who's really short, it's all about one word, confidence. These guys know that they can talk to women, and know that they have something of value to give these women, and women sense that, and is something that they find un-bearably attractive.

5'10 isn't short on average and it is taller than me by a good bit. Tall is associated with strength, prosperity and power. I think the reasons are the same why female animals prefer stronger and bigger male. None of it really makes logical sence, but we are kind of wired that way.
