They are primarily former Special Operations soldiers. If they can make bank doing that, more power to them.

You are speaking about armed security services used and paid for by corporations for their safety in Iraq. I don't see anything wrong with it from a US point of view. It's the right of companies who are trying to rebuild the Iraqi infrastructure to do it within a certain frame of safety and security. There are very little ways to detect who is a suicide bomber or a dangerous insurgent so if a business is under contract through the Iraqi government to help rebuild their communities, it should be expected to have adequate protection.

Uh yeah sure man. Im all about armies public and private. Why do you think legal tender is for debts public and private. I mean yeah for drugs and stuff you dont really want people to know about but I think its fair to have a private army.

as an Iraqi war vet i would agree with private army's because they could be more effective and it would be less collateral damage for my fellow soldiers to contend with

It's asking for trouble. And right now, we're in enough of THAT as it IS- in Iraq. We're not sure WHY we're there, we don't know WHAT we're doing, and we don't have a clue WHERE we're headed... If THAT isn't a recipe for a disaster waiting to happen- I don't know what is... :(

Its good, it does a service for our country. And our troops dont get paid nearly enough, so if they want to get more money, good for them.
