People keep saying the Romans killed Jesus, or the Jews killed Jesus. Didn't he tell us it is finished? Then gave up his spirit himself?

He willingly gave his life. God was not going to interfere, he knew what had to be done and still knows and will always know.

"Why whilst there is info that Mark, the 1st and the unique source of the gospel, financial disaster sixteen is further by using the early Christians?" what's your info for this? Jesus made twelve appearances after his resurrection: a million. His first visual charm grow to be to Mary Magdalene, on that early Sunday morning. (Mark sixteen:9; John 20:10-18). 2. Jesus looked as though it would the girls human beings coming back from the tomb. (Matthew 28:9-10). 3. Jesus looked as though it would 2 disciples on the line to Emmaus. (Luke 24:thirteen-32; Mark sixteen:12-thirteen). 4. He looked as though it would Peter in Jerusalem. (Luke 24:34; a million Corinthians 15:5). 5. He looked as though it would his disciples and different followers, and likewise a 2d time to the two adult males from Emmaus, in a locked room in Jerusalem. The apostle Thomas wasn't there at that factor. (Luke 24:36-40 3; John 20:19-23). 6. a week later, Jesus lower back looked as though it would his disciples in the back of locked doorways, and this time Thomas grow to be present day. (John 20:24-29). 7. Jesus looked as though it would seven of his disciples on the shore of the sea of Galilee. (John 21:a million-24). 8. Jesus grow to be seen by using 500 believers at one time. (a million Corinthians 15:6). 9. He looked as though it would James. (a million Corinthians 15:7). 10. He looked as though it would 11 disciples on a mountain in Galilee. (Matt. 28:18-20). 11. He walked together with his disciples alongside the line to Bethany, on the Mount of Olives, and then ascended into Heaven. (Luke 24:50-fifty 3). 12. He grow to be seen by using Paul on the line to Damascus. (Acts 9:3-6; a million Corinthians 15:8). The resurrection of Jesus Christ grow to be the initiating of Christianity. If Christ had no longer been resurrected and seen by using many human beings (extra desirable than 500), Christianity does no longer exist right this moment. those human beings weren't all his disciples, nor grow to be Paul earlier Jesus looked as though it would him

Jesus said in His own words that no man take my life, I gladly lay it down. While a mere man/men were instrumental in accomplishing this fete, Jesus could have at any given time stopped it, but He did not. As for the rest, you are sooo correct. May God Bless U.

Hey carpentershammerer, Many have tried and still try as we speak, to silence the voice and acts of God because they reveal the voice and acts of men. The reality of mans falsehood was overwhelming to those who did not cherish the truth and sought to hide in their sin rather than let God expose it and be healed. So the many sought to kill Life, but Life is alive still and continues to show Himself strong in the hearts of His servants and all of creation reveals The fingerprints of The Creator God. And so The Father of The Universe planted His only begotten Son, and reaped a family. This one and only Son walked willingly to the cross for the joy that was set before Him, you see His eye was on the prize, not only did He reap a family He won them all brand new wardrobes for there brand new bodies, for His brand New Jerusalem,, He chose to suffer the sin of all mankind in His body so we wouldn't have to, should we go the way of Life and answer the call. As Yahshua(Jesus) so aptly put it, " Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, MY Decisions are right, because I AM NOT ALONE . I Stand With The Father who sent me. In your own Law it is written, that the testimony of two men is valid. I AM ONE who testifies for myself ; my other witness is THE ONE WHO SENT ME , The Father." Then they asked him,"Where is your Father?" You do not know Me or my Father," Yahshua (Jesus) replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also. " I AM The Light Of The world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have The Light Of Life." Now I ask you, aren't we glad He chose not to stop the crucifixion? And aren't we glad that He never would have?.........And The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory that of the only begotten of The Father filled with grace and truth!

There is no doubt that Jesus could have stopped the Crucifixion at any time. HE could have called 10.000 angels if HE chose to, but HE chose to remain submissive to the Father and see it through so we could have eternal life.

If you read the book of Mathew, Jesus aknowledges that all the events leading to his death had to take place. He says he could have called on his father and "legions of angels" would have come to his aid, but then our sins wouldnt have been repented for through his sacrifice.

Jesus's whole point was to be a sacrifice. Of course God allowed it, it was god's plan all along to have Jesus crucified.

If you believe in the Trinity of god the father, son, and holy spirit, as a three-in-one god, the parts are each god in whole - so basically god decided that he was finally going to forgive humanity for original sin after 4,000 years by sending his son to die. This is saying that god, who is supposedly all-forgiving, needed his son to be brutally tortured to make it possible for him to forgive the people he intended to forgive. So he sent himself to die to appease himself for the sins of people he set up for failure in the first place. Adam and Eve were supposed to be without sin, and since the tree of knowledge was the only way to know right from wrong, Eve didn't know what she was doing was wrong - but god knew all along. So he set them up for certain failure. (so why was he so upset when they did what he knew they would do that he had to punish them for 4,000 years and then basically commit suicide to make it right?) So as a final answer to your question - OF COURSE god and/or Jesus could have stopped the crucifixion. God is all-powerful and all-knowing, right? But your gentle, loving, peaceful god demanded a blood-sacrifice of himself before he would forgive...and of course it worked this way because whoever wrote the bible wanted it to. It's just bizarre.
