Just say it! Since you've talked alot in the past then striking up a conversation shouldn't be a problem.
Simply let him know you miss chatting with him, and tell him you would like to do more (Chatting or whatever) and take it from there.

OK girlfriend--forget feelings. You are the girl. He is the boy. You guys can have good fun and be good friends. That eliminates the confusion here. You can behave friendly, smile have good feelings about your self. If this boy wants romance he will tell or show you by the fact he will let you know. Believe that. Just be cool and enjoy your self with all, don't come on to him like a fly, thats his job. Pushy girls get rejected, stop trying so hard-it never works.

I had the same problim. I had a crush on my friend Gabe- & everyone said he liked me but I wasnt exactly sure. So I got my friend Jhonen to ask him for me. Its simple & it allways works =] me & Gabe have beeing going out for a month as of last friday.

i dont think u should tell him u have feelings for him if u havent went out yet,but the best way to tell him that your interested in his company is to just come out and say it.ask him out find out his interest,take it slowly
