Hi !!!
Since you asked...
Fried Piranha
Ingredients:
A medium-sized whole Piranha for each serving
2 or 3 cloves of garlic
salt and pepper
sprig of fresh parsley
whole lemon or lime
1 or 2 whole ripe tomatoes, sliced
small quantity of seasoned flour or corn meal
Directions:
Clean and scale the fish thoroughly. Make a series of diagonal
cuts along both sides of the fish from top to belly. Crush the
garlic cloves and mix with the salt and a little pepper. Rub this
mixture into the cuts along the sides of the fish. Wrap with a
damp banana leaf (or a moistened paper towel). Allow to marinate
for 30 minutes to an hour. Some Colombian cooks leave
refrigerated overnight. Heat some fresh cooking oil to a high
temperature in a large frying pan. Sprinkle the marinated fish
lightly with seasoned flour or corn meal. Fry golden brown on
each side, turning the fish carefully after browning. Serve hot
garnished with sliced tomato and fresh lemon or lime juice
squeezed over the fish.

Princess,
Have you ever actually BEEN to Singapore? I'm not singaporean myself but I've lived here 15 years and nobody eats that stuff at all, let alone with such great frequency. The weirdest thing I have seen is pig organs, or frogs' legs. In fact Singapore is a pretty westernised place and most people would eat at Macs as often as they have a plate of noodles (WITHOUT goat's brain!) Don't confuse Singaopre with China - Singapore's a tiny Republic located just after the southern tip of Malaysia. I do know that in China they eat some pretty nasty things (like camel hoof) though.

how about escargot, venison, kangaroo, jelly fish, snow frog's glands (hashima dessert), emu, braised chicken or goose feet, ducks' tongues? Someone mentioned fugu ( Jap puffer fish - culinary Russian roulette ) - goodluck!
Btw Princess, think you got your countries mixed up cos most Singaporeans don't usually go for those things you mentioned; and it might be pretty difficult ( almost impossible) to find those things there. But i remember seeing them being sold openly in the markets in Thailand as your everyday regular snacks - deepfried grasshoppers, grubs, caterpillars, beetles, field mice etc.

Buffalo is decent. Whoever said ostrich is wrong. Ostrich is very bland. You can get some nice flavor out of bison.
