This question is related to a comment made by chancelikely, that people do not make fun of Jesus but they make fun of the Sacred Cow that Jesus has been made into by Christians.
What do you think about this?

A sacred cow is a person, institution, idea (often a theory - then: "pet theory") or ideology that is immune (usually unreasonably so) from criticism or opposition.

You mean like being used as justification for statements like "love the sinner, not the sin", and "you're such a nice person it is a shame that you are going to hell", and "if you're not with us you are against us"?

Interesting possibility

"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us"

Jesus can not be a made into a sacred cow. A cow is a creature, Jesus is not a creature, Jesus is God and is eternal always was and always will be.

John 1:1-14
In the beginning there was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.
He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and with out him nothing came to be. What came to be though him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness was not to over come it.
A man names John was sent from God, He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe though him. He was not the light, but came to testify to the light. The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming to the world.
He was the world, and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, but his own people did not accept him.
But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born not by natural generations nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision but of God.
And the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.

John 8:58
Jesus said to them,” Amen Amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.”

I like Jesus fine, but the religion is not as useful for me. I love some of the music and stories and traditions, but the idea of letting anyone go to hell forever is so way out there in Insanity Ana and I try to stay out of those neighborhoods. I don't think it's very skillful to make fun of it, but it does help us to have more patience and if kindly explained to a Christian person, possibly less to be offended by, one hopes.

Early Christianity taught that Jesus was a Great Prophet and Teacher. It was Paul who brought in the pagan concept of a Trinity God. Constantin sealed the fate of Christianity by making Paulian Christianity the official version and anyone who believed Christ was not God was put to death.

It sounds like some people are rationalizing away their doubt. When it all boils down anyone is either believing what He said or they don't. That makes a difference to Him. It may not to others, but in the end, it's His opinion that matters most!

I have no idea...but maybe there's a connection in Exodus where the Hebrews didn't beleive in Moses when he stayed up in Mt Sinai for ages so they made a gold cow to worship, god got angry and wanted to kill them but Moses presuaded him not to and went down the mountain and broke the coveneant Tablets, wich woke ppl up and they stated to kill each other....
