It's worth whatever someone will pay you for it, I have lots of sports memorabilia both NASCAR and NFL. I have read different publications that put a price on things, but it comes down to what someone will pay for it.
You can probably check eBay to get an idea or do a search on Yahoo

The cars that Dale Sr would've driven in 2001 were painted white, and given the number 29, and driven by Kevin Harvick. There was however a COT version of the #3 on display at Daytona this year.

I have a huge collection of cars, and I have to agree with Super for the most part I like to look up my values in Diecast Digest, as oneworld said. I know that is what the dealers set the prices from. Beckett seems to value cars lower in most cases. Beckett is best for sports cards. From what I have been told though for an actual what you can get out of a collection, going rate is actually about half high book value, if your not a dealer. They seem to always want the book value.

Get a "Beckets Price guide" and see what they say the value is.You could also go to the Becketts web site and see if you can contact them about the die cast in question.
I have the same piece you are talking about but not in a box(found at thrift store) and a local NASCAR card and hobby shop told me out of the box and no physical damage it was worth $12.00.
So good luck in finding a price.
That's all I have to say about that.

It's pretty much a buyers market, I have several nascar items that's I know the value of and I would not sell them for that. And then I have items that if I could get what they say it's worth I would sell it in a heart beat, but no one will buy it. So if you just want to know what it's worth just to know or like to insure your collection, then go to beckett or go to this site it's pretty good:www./DiecastRegistry.com. Hope this helps????

Pick up a Die-Cast Digest. They have them at most shops that sell die-casts.
