Warm milk would help to soothe you. As for the making yo sleepy part, I'm not so sure.

However, if you are not a milk person, try Camomile tea. I would also soothe you down and make you more relax.

Happy Sleeping!

No, milk doesn't make sleep (at least indirectly).

What makes us sleep after drinking it is that we keep in mind unconsiously this wrong idea so the brain gives order to the body to sleep.

Example, try to put some cafeine in a cup of milk and give it to someone without saying anything to him. So he will sleep as usual despite the cafeine effect.

Yes, warm milk does help your nerves and brain rest from things. Tea also helps, if you heat it up and drink it while it's warm. Don't drink cold milk though, that actually makes it harder to sleep...

Hope you sleep well!

Calcium can make you sleepy. Thats why its suggested you take your calcium supplement at night. Milk contains calcium, so it too can make you sleepy.

I think that only warm milk does. I don't know why but it works for babies and for my mom.

Use Benedryl - active ingredient: diphenhydryl hydrochloride (the same stuff that is in Unisom, and other sleep aids)
