Definately agree with you on that one!!!
****It's womens business because women who can't have children are getting slapped in the face by other women who just gives up the baby simply because of sheer irresponsibility. It's wrong. This message isn't to make people feel guilty because pro-choicers seem to think that's what we pro-lifers want, when all we want is the truth about what abortion really is and spread the word about it!
Abortion as a result of a rape is less than 1%, also punish the guilty NOT THE INNOCENT! You are doing more harm than good to yourself, on top of the fact that you just got raped, you now have to deal with the fact that you chose death for an unborn child. My sister was raped, had she gotten pregnant she would have kept the child because she couldn't stand that fact that this child had nothing to do with it.
Abortion from rape from incest is less than that.
Majority of the abortions are from girls who don't know what abortion is and aren't educated enough about it and it sounds like a good quick fix. 91% of women who have had abortions suffer from Post Traumatic Stress syndrome.
I volunteered at a prol-life clinic, you would not believe the faces the stories of women who have regreted getting abortions. Hear their stories and then you judge!!!
Also, did you know that abortions raises your chances of getting breast cancer much much higher, higher than 50%!
Also to the guy who said that women are going in the back allies and using a coat hanger..... that RARELY happend, actually the women who have had illegal abortions are from doctors themselves...
Obviously I have researched a lot of info from it, so I hope my message will get others to look it up.
Let's have God decide whether we can have a baby or not, we shouldn't be the ones making that choice.

There is no perfect pregnancy prevention other than abstinance, so sometimes it's not an issue of not using proper protection. Keep in mind that when you're talking about giving a baby up for adoption, it's not just like raising a plant and handing it over to a new owner. There are hormonal changes, physical discomfort, and despite all of our medical advances, it's still dangerous to have a child.
And since I'm so stupid and selfish, it's likely that the resulting baby would be an egotistical retard, so I'm really doing it for his own good.

You got a whole mess of generalizations going on in here, your biggest one is your assumption that people get abortions mainly because they didn't use proper protection.
Me, I'm the curious type, I have asked women what is being pregnant like. So I have been told about the mood swings, the swelling, the physical changes that your body has to go through to have that child, some of which never return to normal. So, why would a woman who doesn't want a child have to go through all of that so that YOU will feel better?
There are thousands of children still waiting to be adopted, you want to add more?
To me what is selfish is people who have children so they can please someone else, their mate, their parents, their grandparents. If a person is not having a child because THEY, the woman, want it, it's wrong.

To quote the mother, in Monty Python's "Meaning of Life," of 63 children who were sold for medical experiments, whose husband wouldn't get fixed, or use contraception: "Would you pick that up, Dear?"
Look, perhaps you would rather we go back to having girls use coat hangers in alley ways? Perhaps you would rather women who were raped by serial killers (who just happened to be lucky and get away) give birth to their children? You do know that personality is found to be hereditary, right? Perhaps you would want people, whose contraception didn't work, who, if they did have the child, it would be severely malformed because of medication that the person was taking (such as heavy doses of medication required for certain neurological conditions)..or if they did stop taking it (since, they got pregnant), would then put both the child and the mother in a harmful position?? It is choice. It will be choice again. The world is not perfect or just one way. You are selfish to not give these people or other circumstances any thought.

90% of all conceptions fail naturally. Although the ovum is fertilised, it fails to implant on the wall of the uterus or implants and quickly fails. Most women are unaware they have conceived and if there is any indication, it just seems like a heavy period.
If there is 90% redundancy in normal fertlised ova, it seems to me that a few more are not going to make the slightest difference. If a fertilised ovum is an unborn child, why do you not have funerals for every used sanitary pad and tampon to make sure you get the lot?
Abortion is a natural process. No god would allow such redundancy if s/he was concerned about abortions. If abortions are OK with gods then they should be OK with you.
It is a woman's right to choose whether or not she goes through a pregnancy. No-one else has that right and no-one should be able to force her to do it should she choose not to

Be careful my witchy friend. You sound like the fundy Christians. Our sisters who go through the agonizing decision making process on this subject deserve our support and not accusations of being selfish. We have no idea what they are going through. It is easy to have the opinion that you do when we do not have to go through what they have. If you have and then made the decision to keep or give up a child from rape, then I commend you but still to criticize is wrong. Life is hard and no one should be able to dictate another's path. Blessed Be.

"...for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." Romans 12:19
"For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret..." Psalms 139:13-15
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1:1-5
"O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether." Psalms 139:1-4

How would you like to carry around a reminder of being raped for 9 months?

Yes, the stupid mistake of being brutally raped by your father - you've got to pay for that! Don't generalize - you can't know what lead to someone in that situation of being pregnant and not wanting to be.
It's not a child. For the first few months, it's a collection of cells, like any other one. Sure, it has potential, but so does any random cell you lose in the shower, due to modern cloning technology.
They don't have the kid not because they didn't know they could give it up for adoption - they don't have the kid because it takes 9 months, lots of pain and sacrifice, possibly losing your job, not being able to work or study, being stuck in bed, health problems, who knows what else.
Infertile people can adopt. There are plenty of unwanted children out there as it is. Just ask China. We don't need to be producing more.
It's not selfish to think of yourself once in a while, especially at the expense of a 150 cells.
EDIT: The women who couldn't get pregnant after having abortions are the ones who had to get an illegal and dangerous abortion because they were not permitted to get a legal, safe one. Abortion within the first few months is a perfectly safe procedure with no side effects, assuming you don't do it yourself.
