Probably not, and here's why: success means different things to different people. Some define financial gain as success, others define overall happiness as success. Figure out your definition, then go from there.

Yes. It is human and it is called listen to your parents and if they were not successful then do not make the same mistakes they did. If you know they love you-take their word for what it is and know that they want the best for you.

Learn from other mistakes and be happy with yourself.
